The wedding ceremony

We will be getting married on the 28th of November 2002 at 11 o‘clock.

The ceremony will be held at the Rent Chamber of Cologne‘s Historical Town Hall, Rathausplatz, 50667 Köln.

You are most welcome to join us here.

How to get there

You can reach the town hall by public transport. There are two options:

1)    You can take any train or subway to the main station. Then leave the building through the main entrance (big glass front) and walk up to the cathedral. You will pass the cathedral‘s main entrance to your left and you should then turn left onto Roncalli Square. Leave the museum to your left and the „Dom Hotel“ to your right hand side, head straight on, cross the road and walk straight on into „Unter Goldschmied“ lane. You will have to cross two intersections, which are „Große Budengasse“ and „Salomonsgasse“ before you can turn left into „Portalsgasse“. The entrance to the Historical Town Hall should be right ahead. This wee walk should take you around 10 minutes.

2)  You may also take the subway lines 1, 7, 8, or 9 to Heumarkt . The Historical Town Hall is only a 5 minute walk away. First cross the road towards the big open market square (Heumarkt), walk along „Unter Käster“ Street which runs next to the square (leaving the square to your right hand side). You will soon reach the old market square (Alter Markt) with the big fountain in the middle. The ancient building with the big tower to your left is the Historical Town Hall. To get to the main entrance, you will have to walk once round by taking the stairs up.

Should you decide to take the car, you may consider parking it at the  relatively cheap „Dom Parkhaus“. One entrance can be found in „Komödienstrasse“, the other one would be „Im Domhof“. When you get outside you should be somewhere quite close to the cathedral near or on Roncalli Square and thus follow the above directions to get to the Historical Town Hall.
