The wedding party After our wedding ceremony you are heartily invited to join us for our wedding reception. We have herefore chosen a room attached to one of Cologne’s ancient guard towers that was once part of the medieval town wall. The „Hahnentor“ tower was built in 1240 and is located on Rudolf Square. Rudolf Square is one of the main squares in the city centre of Cologne. You find it located right at the intersection of Aachener Street and the inner ring road. Considering that the official wedding ceremony will take 15 to 30 minutes, we expect the reception to begin between twelve and one o‘clock. How to get there If you are coming from „Heumarkt“ (the train station near the Historical Town Hall), you can take the train lines 1 (towards „Weiden“) or 7 (towards „Frechen“) (both heading west and not across the river). Get off at the second stop (Rudolfplatz). Then turn right and cross the road. Turn left towards the gate tower. You will find the entrance to the room (which is located in the wooden bridge that you see stretching across the road) at the foot of the left tower right next to the street.
If you cannot join the wedding ceremony but will attend the party afterwards, you can also take the subway lines 6, 15, 17 and 19 or one of the busses going to Rudolf Square.
Should you opt to take the car, you might consider parking it at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Habsburgerring 9-13 near Rudolf Square. You will find the entrance to the underground parking in Richard Wagner Str.
